ICHIRA
is an African initiative calling for committed and long-term collaboration of
Africans and their external partners in addressing the current serious and health
crisis in the sub-continent. Our world has become a global health village, generating
an urgent need for mutual learning and joint action.
The Centre which is located in Nairobi, Kenya, is staffed with a core of leading
multi-disciplinary African scientists and their international partners not only
from the field of public health, epidemiology, social sciences, vector biology
and other health related fields such as health economics, but also from other
professions to be identified by each project as may become necessary for the
development and improvement of health in the project communities.
